Scully suddenly remembers some long repressed memories and confronts Mulder.
I promised you smut, and Jori has brought it once again.
I loved how she brings forth circumstantial evidence to back up this story, weaving seemingly insignificant scatterings of canon to bring an extra level of plausibility. She also demonstrates how much they've been affected by what they've experienced in their years together and how it resulted in their attempts to repress their feelings, which just makes the end sweeter. I'm entirely sold that this happened exactly as Jori describes.
