When Mulder loses all his personal recollections to a woman who feeds off her victims' memories, he is forced to re-evaluate his life, his beliefs, and his relationship with Scully.

Poor Mulder, having lost his personal memories, discovers that he doesn't like himself much, and is quite appalled by the way he treats Scully. It makes for a angsty case file, with a very same-but-different Mulder, while Scully just wants the Mulder she knows and loves back.
