Ah, the simpler times of Season 2-3. Even then a high price is paid to work on the X-Files. Scully suffers the most in this story, which makes it a bit of a divergence from the usual Mulder!Torture in XF fanfic. Of course Mulder still suffers by proxy, but there are lighter moments thrown in as well.  It's nice to see Melissa again too.
