Behind the White Curtain cover

A stakeout turns voyeuristic!

You can count on Mulder to lead them straight into temptation trouble. I do love seeing them try to cope in the most awkward of situations, and Ficlady has definitely done that with this little story.

How I Slept With My Partner (Without Really Trying) by JL

How I Slept With My Partner cover

"How I Slept With My Partner (Without Really Trying)" is just the "secret-header-name" for some notes Jose Chung is gathering for his next fiction novel. He's asked me, Jaime Lyn, to conduct a few interviews for him, as he is sick at home with the flu. All personal accounts contained, herein, are the property of Dana Katherine Scully and Fox William Mulder. The names will be changed, of course, but the accounts will most likely remain intact. This story includes the previously authored "How to Blend in With Normal People".

I quite enjoy a deliberate Mary-Sue. This is a long fic, with a complicated Mulder and Scully and all their baggage interwoven with humour. It does get quite angsty in places.

I know it's hard to believe, but this is actually a season 8/9 fic (sans Doggett & Reyes) in which William exists.  It must be a Christmas miracle.

Option Three cover

Halloween. A little exposed skin, tentative conversation, a bag of candy and a lesson in sharing. Even though Mulder and Scully don't have sexual intercourse, NoRomos will likely want to run screaming right about now.

I couldn't resist another Halloween fic. This is a classic Halloween offering in the stakeout genre, but I'm not sure whether it's a trick or a treat. 🙂 Hopefully it's not too chilly for cold showers at this time of year.

Sorry I did go a bit full pr0n on the cover, possibly due to my own frustrations, but I did try to hide it under lots of twizzlers...

Sound of Wind Chimes

Mulder and Scully disappear after a stakeout.

!non-con Mulder on Scully

This classic, 1995 fanfic is a bit of a rite of passage. There are some disturbing aspects to this fic, but but there are also some good points - it got 2nd place in two 1995 Spooky Awards, for Best Sci-Fi Story and Best Mulder/Scully NC-17 Romance.

Small Things by XochiLuvr

Small Things cover

One man's trash is his partner's treasure - himself. Post-Pilot smut

XochiLuvr decides to torture Mulder in a whole new way with this hump day PWP. I think that we can all agree that this one's definitely AU. Bob makes a regular appearance in the show after all...

Osmosis by Michelle Kiefer

Osmosis cover

Mulder and Scully investigate a rash of violent crimes and meet a man who cannot speak and the young woman who can hear him.

I rarely post the Virtual Seasons cases here because they're already all posted together at virtualseasonx.org but I thought it was time to give them another plug.

"I Made This Productions" features some of the best fanfic authors writing excellent X-Files episodes.  It splits from canon after "Je Souhaite" then generates its own internal canon. Many of the stories don't need to be read in order; it will usually say in the headers if there's reference to previous virtual episodes.

This is the first in the virtual series - Season 8 Episode One.

Enough I: Crucify Me:  Post Gethsemane. Our agents are angry. Prepare yourself for a gritty!Scully and pissed!Mulder.

Enough I: Crucify Me (Epilogue): Mulder and Scully make-up. Kinda.

Enough II: Come Play My Game: Ummmm....Sex? Mind Candy? Mulder and Scully at a Ft. Lauderdale Club.

Some hump day PWP.  I love it when they have to fuck out their differences 🙂

I actually have a huge number of short fics with classic covers that I'd like to post. I was thinking of a month-long short fic special, but maybe "Hump Day Humping" could be a thing...

March by Blue Samutra

50,000 words

Book Cover: March by Blue Samutra

Six Hours in New York is included as a prologue.

Set post-Tithonus, before Two Fathers. A routine murder investigation in Chicago where not everything is as it seems.

Blue Samutra is a fabulous author who also made great dustjackets, so she's a particular favourite of mine. 😉

This is a compelling story with a slightly fragile Scully and protective Mulder sent to Chicago after a rather grisly murder by AD Cassidy, much to AD Kersh's disdain, to lure out a serial killer.

While they're not exactly working undercover, they do have to stake out a nightclub and dress the part, so I've added the undercover tag for the little dress-up scenario which has Mulder quite enraptured. 🙂

Six Hours in New York is an achingly beautiful Maggie Scully perspective of Mulder's arrival at the hospital in NY that really sets the scene of where our agents are at in their personal relationship (0bviously One Son hasn't happened yet though).

Shipper’s Digest 05: Halloween

A selection of steamy stories where our heroes do the horizontal hula at Halloween. Definitely Adults Only!!!

  1. Scully in Black Leather by HavelockXF
  2. Aloha Puddytat by DFantum
  3. I'd Know You Anywhere by Yonada
  4. The Grim Reaper by Amy McClure
  5. The Treat of an Unexpected Trick by Sister X
  6. Mind Candy by B Dipherowa
  7. Urban Legends by SueBee
  8. And Dance by the Light of the Moon by RivkaT & MustangSally
  9. Master of Reality by Khyber

More treats than tricks. More pocus than hocus.  It's probably not surprising that Mr & Mrs Spooky enjoy halloween.  This is a bit of a mixed bag of stories.  The majority are first time fics.  Most are refreshingly light on plot, but there's a case file in there too. There's a lot of light-hearted fun to enjoy in this batch.

Legend of the Perfect Union by JRFPatton

Legend of the Perfect Union cover

A horrific investigation leads to unprofessional conduct charges against Scully and Mulder, forcing them to question themselves and each other. When they decide to listen to each other, a rather explosive situation develops at a church with a unique history.

This is a beautifully written, action packed fic in which Mulder and Scully have to defend themselves and their actions on a case before attending the wedding of a friend of Scully's.  Sparks fly.

It's rated PG-13 but I've added the higher rating because it's bordering an R in my opinion.  Well worth the read.

Wonderland Series by Karen Rasch

Book Cover: Wonderland Series by Karen Rasch

Contains: Of Cabbages and Kings, Impossible Things, More Than Nothing, & Joining the Dance.

Cancer Arc: As Scully's cancer worsens, Mulder and she grow closer together, both learning that the only chance they have to survive is to draw strength from each other.

This one begins as a really sweet romance, with Mulder and Scully opening up to each other during Scully's cancer. It ends the same way, only with some (initially awkward) smut.

Heartland I & II by Eiluned

Book Cover: Heartland I & II by Eiluned
  1. Delta: Things get hot in New Orleans.
  2. Deserts Dry: A cool night in a desert motel. Sequel to Delta.

Some very steamy smut in a New Orleans Cemetery, and later in the desert.  Mulder and Scully get to have all sorts of fun that their evil overlord never lets them have.

Shut Up, Mulder & Bitch by David S

14,800 words

Book Cover: Shut Up, Mulder & Bitch by David S

Mulder and Scully go on a stakeout in rural backwoods Virginia. Scully gets her man.

Sequel - Maggie Scully makes an observation. Scully makes things right.

!very mildly (if at all) dubcon, dom!Scully.

Two amusing stories: A perp that gets away, and some naughty little forest critters who also get away (after getting a show from two agents on a stakeout and taking some of their clothes with them). There's also an accidental switch-flicking faux pas during a second stakeout fail, and Scully makes Mulder pay for a few faux pas of his own. That might not make sense but I'm tired.

Deaths in a small town, Uber-UST, and a parrot.

This fic cleverly pushes the UST to breaking point, as can happen when they're on a case and have adjoining rooms... I believe the cover was made by shannono.

A beach, the sun, some brief swimwear, a locked cabana and our Agents... who could ask for anything more?

After Touching Jericho I figured some PWP was in order.

I'm getting closer to fixing everything, but there may still be temporary breakages as I'm still doing long-overduebackground stuff. Thanks for being patient.
