Gazebo by Mish

5,000 Words

Gazebo cover

Grabbing her hand, he guides her from under the canopy of cobwebbed limbs into the back yard...

This out-take from No Quarter Given was supposed to be released last week in acknowledgement of the New Orleans Mardi Gras, but I got hyper-focussed on Scully's Birthday instead. I'm releasing it as a special weekend bonus since I had a couple of double-up days that I'm trying to shuffle. With Mish taking you to southern Louisiana, with its hauntingly twisted oaks draped with Spanish moss, then add two attractive FBI agents fucking like the alium invasion is nigh, you'll forget what day it is.

Let me just add how awesome Sybil's contributions to the fanfic community were that she inspired so much birthday fic dedicated to her. Maybe for her birthday next year I could do an anthology of her birthday or challenge fics...

Blood Oranges by Syntax6

50,000 Words

Blood Oranges cover

The latest victim in a series of brutal murders has a surprising connection to Mulder, but it's Scully who has the connection to the killer. Their relationship might not survive either one.

Another fabulous story from Syn. She's tossed a whole bunch of quality ingredients int0 this one. Although it starts on Scully's birthday, there's no time for cake - they're-ahem- thrust right into the action from the first scene.  I also live for a little role reversal from time to time. 🙂

This one was a challenging one for Syn to write. I've linked her website for you to go and give her some love, and while you're there you can follow the link on her home page to get to her original novels if you haven't investigated them already. I don't have a lot of time to read anything other than X-Files fanfic, but when I'm looking for something totally different to read, I turn to novels by former fanfic authors... I'm so tragic. LOL.

No Man’s Land by Cyra

1,800 Words

No Man's Land cover

A young soldier makes a discovery about the nature of human contact when she spies on Mulder and Scully.

!CW: Underage third party POV

Cyra seems to share my kink appreciation for third party perspectives of MSR. 🙂

This is a surprise weekend release as it's such a short fic. It didn't make it to Goss for some reason and I think it deserves to be more accessible.

By popular demand, I have started a secret page at x-trash for some of the smutty images underneath a few of the covers. You can find a more graphic version of the image on this cover here. The password is "smut".

Married Series by Angela W

355,000 Words

Married Series cover

All 50 of Angela W's Married Series stories in one volume.

While on a case in Las Vegas, Mulder and Scully achieve some professional - and personal - goals. Basically, this is the way I would like to see the TV series end, then see future movies, etc. take off from this point.

There is no way I'm going to list all 50 summaries here. Angela creates her own little universe that continues to cross paths with season 6 & 7 canon, often as part of a bigger universe including some crossovers.

I'm stuck in the wet tropics for extra time, with the rain pouring down, and since I no longer have my daily bat-feeding chores I'm going to try to do some more uploads.

I had this fic playing in my car using text-t0-speech and I had to turn it off when it started making the cassowaries and crocodiles blush. There is some A-Grade smut in this one.  Although this fic is a little mushy in places for my liking, that's purely my preference, and I know some of you will particularly enjoy this entire series. A few of the individual stories are still standouts in my view regardless of their marital or family status. 🙂

Dogged Determination Series by Rhondda Lake

183,000 Words

Dogged Determination 1 Cover

Dogged Determination I - Watched : The Dog Scully takes in is more then he appears to be. Those looking for the animal are willing to kill to get him.

Dogged Determination Interlude I - Linen and Steel : A little erotic interlude.

Dogged Determination Interlude II - The Grapes of Wrath : More total mind candy - breakfast and food fights.

Dogged Determination Interlude III - Icy Hot : At long last we learn what Scully bought with those handcuffs...

Dogged Determination II - Hadinio`gwe'oek : They are gathering.  A dark, Iroquois-inspired tale.   CW: Disturbing imagery

Dogged Determination III - Pandora's Box : Alien DNA, a genius teenager and secrets from the past all end up interrupting Mulder and Scully's life just as Scully discovers some surprising news. Conspiracies, mysteries, some MSR and a dash of the paranormal for extra flavor. CW: Disturbing imagery, Sexual Assault

Dogged Determination Interlude IV - Endless Knot : A brief journal entry.

Dogged Determination IV - Suffer the Children : Horrific murders in Cleveland stall a vacation weekend and Hope's plans to move. CW: Child abuse, child rape, extreme violence.

Dogged Determination V - Watched Over : As Mulder and Scully get settled into a new home and prepare to receive the new arrival they get a call for help from a family vacationing in Colorado. There they must join with Buster and his kin to try and rescue two children in need of help. Introduces the heroes of Dean Koontz's original "The Watchers"

Dogged Determination Interlude V -The Greatest Gifts : Mulder ponders the meaning of Christmas. A short, sappy finale.

Oh, it's lovely being off-grid in the rainforest, but this satellite internet is going to drive me crazy when I have to refresh 3 times to load or save anything. I'll have to see how it goes as far as uploading while I'm here.

I listened to this one during most of the drive up. I had no idea how long it was, but it kept me occupied as I drove and made me drive extra carefully during certain scenes as I didn't want to have to submit dashcam footage with M&S in explicit flagrante delicto if I happened to crash while that was going on.

Anyway, this one is case related, it's actually a crossover at times but you don't need to know the other source/s, and packed full of MSR. Be aware that some parts come with content warnings, which I've tried to add to the descriptions above.

I won't be able to add the web version for this one, due to its size and the internet issues that I'm not up for facing right now. 🙂 I can't add the extra artwork either...

Lost Land (The) by Bonetree

130,000 Words

Months after the events of "The Mercy Seat," past, present and future collide as Mulder, Scully, Skinner and Granger go cross-country and around the world in a race against time to find a serial bomber on a very personal mission.

This is the last of the Goshen Universe stories.

Another epic fic in the Goshen universe. This one goes back and wraps up loose ends, so you'll probably need to read the other stories first.

At the time of posting this one I haven't had a chance to read it, but will try to update tags asap.

Mercy Seat (The) by Bonetree

60,000 Words

Months after the events of "City of Light," Mulder and Scully investigate a haunting by an entity that stalks a troubled woman and her husband. But what is this thing that haunts her? And haunts us all?

ARCHIVIST'S NOTE: the AO3 version doesn't include the prologue, but it's available at the local link.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This story takes place in what I call the Goshen Universe, an AU started with the story "Goshen" and which continues through "Secret World" and "City of Light." That said, you don't have to read the previous three stories to understand this one, since the plot sort of starts over with this story. However, there will be references to events from all three stories through this one, and original characters from those stories whom it will be assumed you are already familiar with, so you might start wondering to yourself what I'm referring to if you haven't read the other stories. This is also an established MSR story, and the previous three stories detail the beginning and evolution of the relationship, which might be helpful for you to know.

Back to posting the Goshen stories.  Another awesome dustjacket by Nlynn.

This one starts a new storyline, which shouldn't be as heavy as the last 2 instalments, and can be read without reading those. I haven't had a chance to read this one myself yet so some tags are missing.

Out in the Country by Jacquie LaVa

10,000 Words

Out in the Country cover

A drive into the country to retrieve an heirloom gives our heroes quite a full day... in more ways than one!

Halloween themed smut, with thanks to a perennial favourite author, Jacquie LaVa.  Jacquie's work was very popular when published under her original name, but was mostly withdrawn when she began publishing her original novels. Some works have been permitted to be republished without the identifying information, which means that I'm unable to direct you to the name you can find the author's current work under.  It's probably not too difficult to work out with a bit of detective work though. 🙂

Ghost of Millcreek Inn by Tess & Jacquie LaVa

Ghost of Millcreek Inn cover

She felt the familiar, haunting ache of her loss and the renewed stirring of a love stolen from her too soon

I'm still away from home,  but I'm now on a road trip in central Australia. Despite the fact that I'm in the middle of the desert, heading for Uluru, I couldn't let October 13th go by without a Mulder Birthday fic.  Despite this being Season 9 AU family-fic, I can make an exception to my kid-fic aversion when it comes to Tess and Jacquie. 🙂 Enjoy.

Emotional Risk by Exley_61

16,000 Words

Emotional Risk cover

Mulder & Scully are weathering the storm of loves emotional risks, will they survive the deluge?

Mulder notices that Scully has disconnected from their relationship and encourages her to face what's wrong. Whilst my preference is for first time fics, Exley does magical things in the raising of the angst levels of this one to maintain the intensity.

I decided to go a little full-smut with this dustjacket, sorry. I've attempted to make it artistic though 😀 I admit to going full-smut often, I usually just don't post those images or hide them behind more acceptable things...

By popular demand, I have started a secret page at x-trash for the smutty images underneath some of the covers. You can find it here. The password is "smut".

A tribute to Mulder for Father's Day.

Dad!Mulder can be a beautiful thing, if it doesn't remind you of how badly the whole William thing was handled in canon. This is just a short series set some time after William's birth.

Fortunately Donna's made an attempt to make things right in this one, and there's even some bonus Skinner!Torture 🙂

500 Days by Noelle Leithe

500 days cover

The Big Easy in February, a tiny little cabin on the bayou, and the most pleasurable way to generate some heat.

Some S9 PWP for Hump Day.  Mulder and Scully meet up.

Osmosis by Michelle Kiefer

17,000 Words

Osmosis cover

Mulder and Scully investigate a rash of violent crimes and meet a man who cannot speak and the young woman who can hear him.

I rarely post the Virtual Seasons cases here because they're already all posted together at virtualseasonx.org but I thought it was time to give them another plug.

"I Made This Productions" features some of the best fanfic authors writing excellent X-Files episodes.  It splits from canon after "Je Souhaite" then generates its own internal canon. Many of the stories don't need to be read in order; it will usually say in the headers if there's reference to previous virtual episodes.

This is the first in the virtual series - Season 8 Episode One.

Weekend in Paris, A by Dani Payson

10,000 Words

A Weekend in Paris cover

Taking place about a month after their 'encounters' in Henrico County,
Virginia, Mulder decides he wants to take Scully to Paris for the weekend
as a belated birthday present.

Believe it or not, today's bonus Scully's birthday fic is set in Season 11!!!

I know I like to pretend that nothing post Season 7 exists - I mustn't have noticed that this was Season 11 before I read it but I'm certainly glad I gave it a chance.   Happy birthday, Scully. Belated or otherwise.

Silent Sea, The by Xphilernj

42,000 Words

Silent Sea Cover

The silent sea can be unforgiving at times, but true love is undaunting and forgiving.

Skinner's feeling shippy, so he sends them both to the Virgin Islands on a missing persons case with some extra vacation days.

This story is a quite the departure from Xphilernj's usual short vignettes.  She even came up with her own local mythology story to involve our agents in a rare trip to the US Virgin Islands.

Compass by Nascent

52,000 Words

Compass Cover

How Scully and Mulder got their groove back after One Son.

I don't know how I managed to upload the wrong version of the text file, but it's fixed now. 🙂

This is a beautifully crafted case file set after One Son, with all the angsty fallout of agents who'd been bed-mates in this fic since season 4 but never actually confessed their deep abiding love in that time. Diana is still doing her thing and Mulder still trusts her, leading to an annoyed Scully having to set him straight.

"So this was talking. They’d never tried it before. He didn’t think he liked it much."

The x-file itself is one that I couldn't for the life of me work out how they were going to get out of it, but Nascent got us all through it.

Seisdeadh by IndigoMuse

79,000 Words

Seisdeadh cover

Scully's getting stalked, and when she disappears, Mulder finds their relationship under suspicion, whilst he searches for her. Meanwhile, she's not inclined to just sit back and wait to be rescued.

This is a fic I came across whilst I was searching for another story, and I'm very glad I did.  I usually avoid established relationship fics because I like a bit of excitement, IYKWIM, but there's no lack of that with this pair, despite them being together almost 2 years at the time this is set.

There's the angst of Mulder and Scully both being in danger, then more angst when nobody would believe Scully had been kidnapped, thanks to some bruising left by Mulder. 😉 After Mulder is sidelined by the bureau, our agents have to each rely on their wits to get back to each other.  A++++

Bed & Breakfast Series by DavidS, Tess, Jacquie Lava & ga

11,000 Words

Book Cover: Bed & Breakfast Series by DavidS, Tess, Jacquie Lava & ga

I’ve never been a B&B type of guy. Until now. Until Scully.

Mulder and Scully and a vacation at a B&B.

This fic is the ultimate in escapism; it's  the beauty of what an unencumbered M&S in love look like.   It started as a IWTB Mailing List punishment fic, handed out over grave misdemeanors such as posting a story twice to the list.  There are quite a few really juicy fics resulting from such punishment, and I'm hoping to collect as many as possible and combine in one volume here.

Meanwhile, this is the final story in my daily PWP distraction from US political drama postings, I hope. I'd like to think that as long as Mulder and Scully are doing the wild thing, all is right in the world.  Hopefully we're back to M, W & F posts. 🙂

Magic Shell Stories by the Sister Spooky Gang

34,000 Words

Magic Shell cover

Magic Shell: Brick Wall by Jacquie LaVa - wherein it is discovered just how much Mulder likes giving Scully history lessons...

Magic Shell: Motel Room by Tess - Scully takes control

Magic Shell: The Woman Who Knows Everything by Xenith - Scully feels bad about hurting Mulder in the throes of passion and decides to make it up to him.

Magic Shell: At the Races by Foxsong - M & S are investigating a missing racehorse, and the tackroom seems to be full of interesting clues.

Magic Shell 5: Caroling by Wylfcynne - FTF Missing scene - the summary would be longer than the story

Magic Shell 6: At the Movies by Ravenwald - M&S watch one of the movies that aren't Mulder's.

Magic Shell: Breakfast by RoseMN - Mulder brings Scully breakfast.

Magic Shell: Rest Stop by Sue Ann - A difficult drive.

Magic Shell 11: Oral Hygiene by Ravenwald - Mulder accidentally cc'd an email.

Magic Shell 15: By Touch by Wylfcynne - Smut, luridfic, whatever you want to call it. Playing with toys.

NOTE: These last 3 stories in the anthology are Mulder/Scully/Krycek threesomes

Magic Shell: Snack by Evielouise - An M/S/K continuation of the first story - "Brick Wall"

Magic Shell 10: Ice Cream Sandwich by Wylfecynne - an M/S/K sequel to Snack

Magic Shell 14: Alien Technology by Ravenwald - an M/S/K sequel to Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Magic Shell series is so bad it's good. It's shameless PWP, most of it written as a distraction by Sister Spooky list members whilst awaiting season 8.

I've tried to group stories together where they're connected, but I may have lost track somewhere in there.  I did however move the three M/S/K stories to the end to save MSR purists from having to close their eyes and scroll through them.  (There are links in the ePub & PDF versions.) There's more of an explanation at the beginning of the file.

Personally, I don't mind the very infrequent M/S/K fic as a total escape from reality, and I can understand why Krycek would want to join in. 😀

I hope you enjoy this PWP distraction.  I figured there was enough angst in the world right now and hope this helps.  Regular programming will resume shortly.

Backseat Ethics by Flynn

Cotton candy for the mind. No violence, no guns drawn (and quickly lost) - just all the things I'd want to do if it were ME in that car.

Normal Holiday, A by XScout

21,000 Words

A Normal Holiday cover

It’s Christmas Eve and Mulder does what any normal person would. He has to stop a terrorist who has taken over the airport, before Scully’s plane runs out of fuel.

A Christmas Eve chock full of action, adventure and Mulder!Torture.  This is a re-imagining of a movie I haven't seen, which was probably a good thing. There are some obvious plot issues to overlook, but it's a compelling story if you can ignore those.  To be fair, they were part of the original plot, and XScout didn't include all the plot holes of the original movie.

One day, the Gunmen just disappeared.

This was ML's wish for how the X-Files would end.

A Season 9 Fic with William in it. Not the usual fic you'll find uploaded here but there was a request in a facebook group for Mulder secretly meeting with Scully while he was on the run in Season 9 and this one kind of fitted the bill.   This includes the original story "Abandoned" plus the subsequent story, "Apart" which details the events of Season 9 from Mulder's POV.

It's been so long since I've read these that I can't think of tags to add, sorry.

Messenger, The by Windsinger

10,000 Words

Messenger cover
Part of the All Hallow's Eve series:

In the midst of his unbearable suffering aboard the alien ship, Mulder reaches out and makes unexpected contact with an amazing ally. With the help of another old friend, the messenger sets forth. It's All Hallow's Eve and anything can happen.

This fic links together a few of the universes Windsinger was writing in.  It works as an epilogue to the All Hallow's Eve series, but it slots into the My Travels with Charley series and features Jake from her two Red Shoe Diary crossover fics, Jake's Luck and Jake and Fox Join the Club.

According to Windsinger "This is one weird story. I'm posting it as a stand- alone because I can't figure out what series to put it under. It's especially for the fans of my 'All Hallow's Eve' series which I 'finished' over two years ago. Consider this an epilogue. In fact it will probably make much more sense to them then to anyone. I'm also placing it as Chapter V of 'My Travels with Charley' series (a little something for Dana.) To make things even more confusing, Jake of my two-novel Jake series (Jake of Red Shoes Diaries) also makes an important appearance. To help out everyone -- even for those who have read everything but who need a refresher -- a synopsis of what you need to know about All Hallow's Eve, My Travels with Charley AND Jake are included at the end of chapter 2 of The Messenger. Just for fun -- try to figure it out by yourself first. I dare you....

Yule Vibrations & New Year’s Buzz by Donnilee

Yule Vibrations cover

Yule Vibrations: Mulder buys Scully a naughty Christmas gift and they take it to work.

New Year's  Buzz: Mulder and Scully attend the annual FBI New Year's Ball and Scully's payback's a bitch.

No, it's not Christmas (but I do have a gift for you) and 2020 isn't over with yet (unfortunately), but it is yule downunder.

The gift I have for you is the completed renovation of Donnilee's section of her website.  You'll notice I added a web link.  It just took a little extra time to complete this section after I discovered how bad the original colours looked on mobile screens and had to tone it all down by 1000%.

There's still more to  go - the added author sites aren't yet converted for mobile-friendly browsing, nor is the OTC recs section but I have to slow down a bit due to my advancing age... 😉

These ones are total out-of-character smut-romps, but they're way more enjoyable than the out-of-character anti-smut we get from the Anti-Chris (Carter) 😛  😀

Mulder and Scully set out to solve a case. The Author tags along. Literally.

This fic makes me want to proposition Jess too... if only I didn't have to compete with Mulder and Scully to do so.  I love this, in the same way that I love it when the show makes fun of itself.   Jess bravely Mary-Sue's herself in order to visit Moose & Squirrel off-season and discovers that their off-screen personas are exactly as we imagine...

As we all know, Scully's a medical doctor, and there are occasions where that skill is needed to take care of Mulder's mistreated man-parts.  These are but 4 fics where such an indignity has been suffered.  I actually laughed out loud in some parts, which felt wrong under the circumstances, so I hope I'm not alone.

16,700 Words

Book Cover: Trolling by Vickie Moseley & S Proto

The partners investigate a case of a missing child and run into a couple of obstacles along the way.

This feels like a Darin Morgan-type story, with Scully operating the slide projector and having the theory, while Mulder questions its validity as an X-File.  It was originally written for Virtual Season 8 (episode 23).  If you like case files, I can highly recommend the Virtual Season X site as a treasure trove.  They also made dustjackets for each 'episode' so the odd virtual episode will end up here.  This project continued the series with virtual episodes when it was unknown whether there would be a Season 8.  It branches off after Season 7's Je Souhaite, meaning the revelations and events in Requiem and official Season 8 onwards never happened.  Mulder and Scully are a couple, but the focus is on the case files rather than the relationship.  [This is a different project from the Alternative Season 8 that's previously been posted here.]

Haunted House by Analise

14,000 Words

Book Cover: Haunted House by Analise

Mulder and Scully are forced to spend the night in a haunted house.

Analise does the 'stuck in a haunted house' trope with humour and flair.  My favourite line had to be Mulder's "I've watched Scooby Doo... there should be lever around here somewhere..." (after which Scully finds it by accident).  Analise is also a real proper artist and has the dustjackets to prove it.

Diametrically Opposed by Mountainphile

Book Cover: Diametrically Opposed by Mountainphile
Part of the Synchronicity Universe series:

Mulder and Scully investigate the mysterious disappearance of a college student in Ohio.  Circumstances demand that they work from divergent ends of the spectrum, unearthing old wounds while opening new doors to the truth.

This isn't so much a sequel to Seeds of Synchronicity, but it is set in the same universe. They can be read independently.

Mountainphile's come up with another story that puts Ten Thirteen to shame with 'Diametrically Opposed'.  Not only does this have an intricate plot and heaps of action, it also questions Mulder's uncharacteristic acceptance of the walk-ins as Samantha's fate in Closure.  Plus, I LOVE a story where Scully's right in the action while Mulder's caught up following questionable leads.  Although technically set in Season 8, it assumes Requiem never happened.

Book Cover: Brightwater Bunyip by FrangipaniDownunder

Set after season 11, Mulder and Scully are private consultants investigating an Australian cryptid legend, the Bunyip, in Queensland.

I can't say I've ever seen a bunyip, but there's rumoured to be a yowie not far from here.  I do enjoy FrangipaniDownunder's writing, and this short cryptid-fic is probably the closest Mulder and Scully have ever been to my house.  Maybe I could invite this freelance post S11 Mulder and Scully to visit my house and hunt for my yowie.  Just a note, I'm not a fan of the 'beyond impossible' pregnancy storyline so I appreciate this version of Moose & Squirrel, but baby-fans may be sad.

Kristel and the AS8 crew wrap things up and tie it all in a neat little bow for us in this final installment of Alternative Season 8.  There's an extra episode that gives the original run (and any subsequent outings for that matter) more of an ending that Chris Carter could dream of.

If you haven't visited the website, each episode not only had cover art but  an animated trailer, so it's worth a visit.

Again major improvements were made to these episodes, but the one that blew me away most was "Salvage".  It was completely replaced with a mytharc episode, which is full of action and makes the mess of mytharc so much better.  It was one of those (many) moments reading fanfic where I was gobsmacked at just how good the idea was and how it made so much sense to do it that way.  It's disappointing that it's not the creator showing this much love and respect for the characters, their development, and the stories, but fans of the show.  Thank any an all deities for fan fiction writers of this calibre.

These talented writers managed to improve all these episodes exponentially, and believe it or not actually managed to pull a decent story out of Badlaa.

The very creative Kimberly produced the following art work for these episodes:

Alternative Season 8 – Volume 1

54,500 words

Alternative Season 8 is a retelling of the episodes aired during the eighth season of The X-Files, utilizing the same starting point (the 7th-season finale, "Requiem") and the same essential story premises. We do this in hopes of demonstrating that, given the same basic storylines, there was a better way this season could have been handled, a higher road the producers could have taken. Departures from characterization will be rectified, needless and senseless continuity errors will be fixed, and bad storytelling and plot devices will be eliminated.

These are not "novelizations" of the episodes, as such, nor are they screenplays. They are written in the third person, present tense, but with a minimum of narration. This eliminates the more distracting elements of reading a screenplay, while still focusing on the dialogue and actions. Everyone reading these episodes is aware of show, the actors, and how what happens would have been portrayed. Beyond the essential elements of action and dialogue, we leave the fans to supply the rest--the spirit and emotion of the story--with their imaginations and preexisting knowledge of the characters and situations of "The X-Files."

Some text from aired eighth season episodes will be used directly, and some will be discarded or edited to suit the spirit of Alternative Season 8. The idea is not to claim that the eighth season of "The X-Files" never happened, but to demonstrate that it could have happened better.

We do this because we love the show, and we are distressed by the direction it has taken. Because we want to renew our faith in these characters who have become a part of ourselves. Because we want to make the show better, to recreate the show we loved once again.

The AS8 writers also provided a complete zip file of .txt versions which I'll attach as a download option with this volume.  There's also a link to their website in the download area.  I'm getting intermittent 404 errors so if it disappears you can view it via archive.org.

It's important to note that in addition to rewriting the episodes, the authors have re-ordered them to have the season flow better, so episodes may not be where you expect them to be.  There are 22 episodes in the Alternative Season 8, which I've split into 4 volumes.  The first contains:

Introduction: About VS8
Within by Kristel St Johns
Without by Kristel St Johns
The Gift by ga
Invocation by Jo
Medusa by Samantha Wilkinson

Alternat(iv)e Season 8 was arguably the best thing to come out of Season 8. These talented authors turned a season which was rather problematic into a much more palatable one, which unfortunately for TenThirteen really highlights  just how poor the efforts by CC et al were.  This is my replacement canon for season 8. Actually I have very little acceptance of any seasons after season 7 so it's quite a compliment to these authors that I'm willing to begrudgingly consider that it may have happened 😀

I can't remember whether they treated Mulder's ridiculous brain disease as a real thing or a hoax (or just ignored it), but I do have AS8x03 "The Gift" marked as a fic I really enjoyed, so I'm confident they fixed it somehow.

Kimberly made all the dustjackets for the series (except the consolidated volumes - please don't blame her for those!).  Original covers are included in the downloaded volumes and on the webpage.

Calendar Girl Series by Jori

Book Cover: Calendar Girl Series by Jori

Calendar Girl I follows Mulder and Scully through season six and seven.

  • BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL- Mulder's real Christmas present comes shortly after Scully hands him that little wrapped package after 'How The Ghosts Stole Christmas.' They spend their first night together under shimmering blue Christmas lights before meeting one of the Scully brothers. NC-17
  • CHIMES- A continuation of my "Blue Light Special" story, this one takes place over New Year's Eve and day, with Bill Scully dropping by for a guest appearance. NC-17
  • GREENHOUSE EFFECT - Mulder and Scully break free from doing background checks to go 'investigate' an exotic flower grower in Florida. Smut follows. This story line would take place after Tithonius, but before Two Fathers. And there is no such person as Diana Fowley. NC-17
  • EVER GREEN - After the events of One Son and Arcadia, Mulder and Scully try to get their relationship back on track. NC-17
  • SPRING AHEAD -Set immediately after the events of Alpha, Scully sends Mulder on an Easter egg hunt with a surprise at the end. NC-17
  • BROKEN SOUND - After the events of Milagro, Mulder and Scully race against time and the elements to find a missing boy. NC-17
  • TREASURED - Mulder explores Scully's past at her mother's house on Mother's Day. NC-17 .
  • KNOWN BUT TO GOD - Over Memorial Day weekend, Mulder is haunted by a mysterious visitor in his 'sleep' who says that only he can help him. NC-17
  • THE VERY BEST -Mulder discovers one of those 'holidays' that seems to be invented by a 'card company,' and makes a mistake which he later tries to rectify. NC-17

  • SIX BILLION -Mulder celebrates his 38th birthday. NC-17
  • HEART OF THE MATTER - Set right before the events of Biogenesis, Mulder and Scully investigate an unusual occurrence in an empty house on Halloween night. NC-17
  • RIGHT VOICE - Set during Sixth Extinction, Mulder is faced with several options. R
  • TIDES - In the last chapter of the Calendar Girl Series, Mulder discovers all the reasons to live this life. NC-17
  • FULL CIRCLE - Mulder and Scully celebrate the new millennium and 'one year' together. NC-17

Calendar Girl II - NOTE: THIS SERIES REMAINS INCOMPLETE.
I wish it had been finished, but I still enjoyed it knowing that I'd be left hanging. The plot is way better than CC's, and there are flashbacks to Season 7 episodes to keep the smut quota up.  You can choose whether or not to continue with CGII after CGI.

Their relationship survived the first year, but then everything changed. With one of the partners missing, the other goes on a quest of her own. Scully's new partner, Agent Nicole Larson, appeared in only one tiny segment of a story in Calendar Girl I.

  • MARKING TIME - After the events of Requiem, Scully is faced with being without Mulder and with a new partner, a woman Mulder knows and Scully only met once before. NC-17
  • SEEING YOU - As Father's Day approaches, the search for Mulder continues. NC-17
  • EVERYTHING - On the Fourth of July, Scully ponders last year and what she has now that she didn't have then, and most importantly, what's now missing. NC-17
  • ONLY YOU - Scully's quest to find Mulder takes on even more twists and turns. R

After taking their relationship to a new level, Mulder ditches Scully yet again to help an old friend solve an unusual murder in the Southeast deserts of Utah.

I love a good ditch. This is a classic Mulder!Ditch, but I'm an equal opportunity ditchist.  It brings with it all the associated angst, along with our heroes being in a rather perilous position where lives are at stake.

Carpe Felis Mortuus: How far would Mulder & Scully go for a little nookie?

Performance Art?: Mulder and Scully delve into the world of Modern Art… Some might call that kinky

According to Nic, this is 265.98% SMUT.  CFM is a rampantly smutcentric fic involving a frustrated Scully, a teasing Mulder, a beach, a rental car, and the line: "We're going to wash this car like you've never washed one before in your life."  It's early in their physical relationship and Scully's at a convention, so the sexual tension is extreme and they're both a bit desperate when Mulder turns up.

I've also added Performance Art? which is described by the authors as an homage to CFM. Unfortunately the "Carpe 2" mentioned in the headers for this fic has never eventuated to my knowledge.

I actually tried a few different illustrations of the car wash scene for this cover over the years, and thankfully I finally managed to make one that wasn't too porny!  😀

I figured some PWP was in order after recent angsty fics posted.

Ramp Series combined.

  • Ramp I - The Right Angle: A Valentine’s Day surprise for Scully
  • Ramp II - A Different Angle: Scully’s turn to surprise Mulder.
  • Ramp III - Surprise Angle: "Escape is at hand for the travelin' man (and woman)!"
  • Ramp IV - From Every Angle: Mulder can't wait, as usual...

The original cover art was done by Donnilee, which I combined and made pretty for the series cover. 🙂  The images are also on the linked web page, so try to avoid opening any of the links while you're at church.

Includes:

  • Blown Away: Riding out a storm doesn't have to be a hardship.
  • Washed Away: Scully's changed her mind about tempting fate again. Or has she?
  • Driven Away: He's driving her crazy.
  • Carried Away: Some people just can't help getting carried away.

Category: SPM - At the request of Nell, Cindy and assorted other perverts, I hereby announce the creation of the SexPigMulder category. Insistent, persistent, and doesn’t take “later” for an answer. Not non-con or rape, just an insatiable man who wants what he wants when he wants it.

Who doesn't love an insatiable Mulder?  I need mindless smut in my life to counteract all the torturous angst I read.  Give me M&S anywhere, any time, the more implausible the better. I find their inability to resist quite irresistible.  🙂

Note: I keep getting reports of a broken link for this book, but every time I test them they work ok.  If you get an error, try clicking the link a second time, and if the error still comes up, please note which link it is in the "details" area on the report.  Thanks. I appreciate the reports, and will fix them if I can find them.

The first illustration is by Theresa.  Theresa's art can be found at http://mindseye.tcjahn.com. Naturally my evil spirit turned up first one, then TWO original dustjackets a few weeks after posting mine. I've added the version from Plausible Deniability as the online cover, and Maybe Amanda's dustjacket is below. The X-trash version is still embedded in the ePub and PDF.

Summary: The past cannot help but have an irrevocable effect on the present.

Author's Note:  This series -- which began with what I thought would be a single, stand-alone vignette -- became a bit of an experiment. I wanted to see if I could tell a story in sequential fragments that were almost snapshots, in that each section only captures a small part of the whole, and each is told from a different point of view. As with any experiment you never know if you're concocting something interesting or are on the verge of blowing up the lab -- I hope that here I succeeded in the former and not the latter. 🙂

This is a bit of a different one.  It's a long story emerging from a series of vignettes. I was a little confused at first - it actually starts in the future but jumps back and forth in time, to back as far as before Leonard Betts. Apart from that I found it very intriguing.  I always have trouble tagging, but I had even more difficulty with this one...

Mulder knew why he was losing her. But to admit it would make it true. And he sure as hell wouldn't do that.

This is the third story in Emma's Quantum universe. Quantum and The Road Less Traveled are linked under 'series' below.   This is another story that appears to be missing a chapter on Gossamer - the full text file is available here.

Over the years, his dreams had slowly mutated from Samantha’s abduction to visions of Them taking Scully. For over twelve years when the moon was at its highest, she was his stability, his guard from the horrors that haunted him each time his eyes closed. Now, as he sits in the car on this bridge, watching helplessly as the craft hovers above the only woman he’s ever truly loved, he can only hope and pray that whatever they do to her, they’ll do the same to him because the physical pain from their brutal instruments is nothing compared to the emotional pain of her absence – or of his failure to save her.

His world is nothing without her in it. He resolved himself to that a long time ago.

I'm getting closer to fixing everything, but there may still be temporary breakages as I'm still doing long-overduebackground stuff. Thanks for being patient.
