An April Fool's day bonus fic.
This is pure silliness from Wayward. I got a little carried away with the silliness of the cover. The first one I made wasn't ridiculous enough, but I've included it below should you wish to use it instead... I might yet find another fic to repurpose it for. I hadn't thought of using an animated cover before but when I found the moving propeller-hat I decided it had to happen. The movement will only display on the online version... Sorry it didn't end up UV coloured. That attempt was atrocious.

I'm feeling so much better now that I've not just uploaded, I've gone with major torture. I wish I could get Scully to my psychologist, she's a miracle worker. 🙂
This one is a rough one, and for those who need a smut payoff after tolerating torture, you may wish to skip this story and come back Wednesday for the top shelf PWP I have scheduled.

Happy solstice! Time to bring out some Christmas fics. This is a bit of holiday fluff from Revely.
Mulder's behavior suddenly becomes erratic, his actions evasive as he forces Scully away from a case that's been given to him under mysterious circumstances. And eventually Fox Mulder is faced with the decision of a lifetime.
This is a hard-to-find story from Writergal2000; a mytharc fic set in season 6 with throwbacks to the DAT tape in Anasazi. There's a bit of unrest between the partners, as Scully gets fed up with Mulder's attempts to protect her. Things work out of course.
No summary provided, so here's my TV Guide version:
The Lone Gunmen help sort out the whole Diana issue and help play cupid, but just as things are finally working out, Scully is plagued by ever-worsening nightmares.
Frohike wanted to give Byers a chance to cut loose, or as she put it "get that steel rod removed from his ass", and this was the result. Byers plays a big part in this X-File, in which Scully is tortured once again.
This is set after the events of One Son, and it's quite satisfying that Scully's concerns are validated. I also confess to a few little chuckles over place names in this story.

I've been convinced that I could probably post another festive fic since one of the fourteen wasn't holiday themed, so here's a short, sweet 1998 post HTGSC fic by a fellow Aussie who hadn't actually seen the episodes yet because we were always months behind the USA. 😀
I've used a collage by Tere for the cover. Tere was probably the artist who inspired me to experiment a bit more with my own digital art, and she also shared a lot of brushes and textures etc, which are still available from classic.tere-art.com (via the wayback machine).
Mulder and Scully are on the west coast for a murder investigation involving a reality television show.
This is a lovely USTy case file in which Beduini cruelly does a CC and interrupts them just when things are getting interesting 😉 At least they have their typical verbal intercourse going on...
Mulder and Scully have to catch a bad guy at the Highland Games. Scully convinces him that he has to wear a kilt to blend in. Discomfort and comfort ensue.
Sometimes I can't help myself and include some naughtiness on my covers, with an attempt to make it tasteful. Apologies to PDF readers, I can't make the cover not stretch over the whole page and therefore there may be a lot of butt in your face when you open the file.
Let me just add that there aren't enough fics with Mulder wearing a kilt. I expect you all to write me some more, OK? If enough people write some kilt smut stories I may need to do a Shipper's digest for them... 😀

ML takes us for an emotional ride from Two Fathers/One Son to Alpha, lovingly exploring the ups and downs of their relationship intertwined with the added emotional toll that came with each case.

This series began with the devastating effects One Son had on Mulder and Scully's partnership, and continued through their desperate attempt to understand the alien threat and the complex loyalties of Diana and other players. Parts 3 and 4 take place after Biogenesis as Scully and Mulder try to come to terms with his mysterious illness. There's a shippy end for believers...
I've been having a bit of a post One Son indulgence lately so there may be some more juicy One Son fics coming...
In this one Zuffy weaves an elaborate mytharc story around the canon from Two Fathers/One Son to Amor Fati, and challenges our beloved heroes to save each other, not knowing who they can trust.
When Mulder is accused of sexual assault by a confused young girl, it begins an odyssey which will cause him to doubt every aspect of his life. But as Scully works to find out the hidden truth behind the events, Mulder realizes that she is the one truth upon which he can always rely.
Jamie finds a number of imaginative ways in which to torture Mulder, and Scully is the only one he can trust to help him through an extremely difficult time. There's lots of love in this one - no smut - but it doesn't seem to be lacking. It's a sensitive, heartwrenching (but somehow at the same time heartwarming) novel that draws our agents closer together. Note - there are references to sexual assault but no gory details.
Jamie's Mulder is spot on with his comebacks. His ability to make light of a situation with lines like “I have to admit, Scully, punching me in the face seems to be more than the passing fad I had originally hoped” adds some levity to an otherwise angsty fic.
What if Pythagoras was right and all IS number, and the universe is indeed harmonious? Post-episode study of the human condition.
This is a post-Biogenesis treatment of the mythology that seems to make sense. I have to admit that The Third Extinction/Amor Fati left me clueless, despite trying to read many post-ep analyses. There seemed to be so much in it that was unresolved or unexplained and I had to admit that I'd finally lost the plot of the mytharc.
This fic is the action/adventure story we should have had after Biogenesis. Scully's trip to Africa has a purpose, and with what she learns she's able to rescue Mulder so they can both go after the truth. It's the kind of writing that highlights just how wrong CC got it.
A string of bizarre murders send Mulder and Scully to a secluded
resort in Florida.
This is a casefile with the added complication of a rather uncomfortable setting for our agents. Of course Mulder is a lot more amenable to going with the flow than Scully.
